The ideal candidate will possess excellent observation skills, maintain a professional appearance, and interact respectfully with congregants and visitors while remaining vigilant for potential safety or security concerns.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide a visible armed security presence during religious services. Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and the facility grounds. Control access to the property and assist with visitor screening when necessary. Deter criminal activity through proactive patrols and professional presence. Respond appropriately to emergencies, disturbances, medical incidents, or suspicious activity. Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when needed. Assist congregants with directions or safety concerns while maintaining excellent customer service. Enforce property rules and security procedures in a courteous and professional manner. Complete incident reports and daily activity reports as required. Maintain communication with supervisors throughout the shift. Remain alert and prepared to respond quickly to potential threats while using sound judgment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current North Carolina PPSB Armed Security Officer registration. Valid North Carolina driver's license with reliable transportation. Ability to legally carry and safely operate a duty firearm. Strong communication and de-escalation skills. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Professional appearance and demeanor. Must pass a background check and drug screening (if required).

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior armed security, military, or law enforcement experience. CPR/AED and First Aid certification. Experience working in houses of worship, schools, or other public gathering locations.
