AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation and notifying appropriate personnel when needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior. Monitor access points, verify identification and visitor permissions as required, and document daily activities, observations, and incident details in accordance with post orders. Serve in an armed post in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site requirements, maintaining professional presence, following use-of-force guidelines, and/or supporting response efforts during high-risk situations.
Minimum Requirements:
Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience. Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Possess an armed guard card and/or license. Be at least 21 years of age. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
