Overnight Security Officer (Part-Time)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Rocky Mount . The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and responding to incidents effectively. A successful Security Officer will possess strong observational skills and the ability to manage conflicts calmly and professionally. Responsibilities Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies. Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to detect suspicious activities. Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and safety on the premises. Provide first aid and CPR as needed in emergency situations. Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary, during incidents or investigations. Document all incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports. Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or security breaches. Manage conflicts effectively through de-escalation techniques. Skills Strong knowledge of surveillance systems, including CCTV operation. Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Strong observational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
