UNARMED SECURITY OFFICER
York Security, LLC Since 1984 York Security has provided quality, professional service while assisting in protecting life and property through client and community partnerships. We are a Triangle-based company that provides a full range of security services to commercial, residential, and industrial clients. Our company is hiring for an educational facility located in the Raleigh area. We are looking for dedicated professionals who work well with others, excel in customer service relations, and possess an outstanding work ethic. General Duties Officers will report to work in the full prescribed uniform. Officers will perform constant foot & vehicle patrols throughout the property to deter and detect any suspicious, unusual, or criminal activity throughout their shift Officers will monitor the conditions of the property, equipment, and client-owned resources and report any issues or discrepancies as required Officers will deter and detect any unauthorized persons entering the property and remove such people, either verbally or through coordination with Law Enforcement, from the property Officers will respond to fire and burglary alarms on the property as mandated by the property manager or client, and coordinate with appropriate public safety agencies in the event of an emergency or alarm Officers will maintain and keep all company-issued equipment including any vehicles used for patrols clean. Officers will perform duties as instructed by the client and York Security supervisors & management Compensation Officers will be offered a starting pay of $13.50 per hour. Requirements Must consent and successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background investigation to obtain the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board License Physical requirements include standing and walking for long periods of time and possibly intervening in emergency situations. Prolonged standing and extensive walking up interior and exterior stairs of buildings is necessary. This position is performed inside and outside the property with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situations. Must have completed High School or taken and passed the General Educational Development (G.E.D.) exam Must be of good moral character and able to speak, read, and write in English for reports Valid N.C. Driver's License or the ability to obtain a N.C. Driver's License is preferred Must pass an MVA License check Training Requirements All security officers in the state of North Carolina must undergo a minimum of 16 hours of classroom-based training required by North Carolina Private Protective Services, a division of the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. This training will be provided by York Security management prior to beginning employment.
