Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive security services through foot and vehicle patrols, emergency response, and access control to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, staff, and facilities. Respond to hospital emergencies and disruptive situations using de-escalation techniques, defensive tactics when necessary, and adherence to departmental policies and applicable laws. Support emergency preparedness and disaster response efforts by implementing facility disaster plans and coordinating with hospital leadership in the absence of management. Assist patients, visitors, and staff through medical aid, escorts (including deceased persons, valuables, and monetary transports), and customer-focused service while following infection control and safety protocols. Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies (e.g., law enforcement, fire departments, medical transport, contractors) to ensure effective coordination and operational support. Maintain accurate documentation, mentor team members, manage access systems and lost-and-found processes, and uphold professionalism, teamwork, and compliance with policies at all times.

Salary:
Pay starts at $17.44 an hour and increases based on work history/experience.
Job Requirements:
High School diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) preferred. Associates Degree or Bachelor Degree desired, preferably in Criminal Justice of Law Enforcement; or equivalent experience. Certificate of Threat Pattern Recognition (TPR) required within 1st year of employment. Certificate of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) required within 1st year of employment. 2 - 3 years previous Security experience preferred. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) certificate not required, but preferred within 6 months of hire with annual training. Valid and current driver's license with no more than 3 moving violations/at-fault accidents within the last 3 years required. Very Heavy Work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force.
