Assistant Head of Security The Royal Grove - 4.7 Lincoln, NE Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $24 an hour 10 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Spanish Military Supervising experience Conflict management Security Leadership Law enforcement Full Job Description Position Overview The Assistant Head of Security works directly alongside the Head of Security to oversee event security operations, manage security staff, and help maintain a safe and professional environment during concerts and events. This position is ideal for someone with leadership experience who can remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively, and make sound decisions in fast-paced situations. Responsibilities Assist in managing and supervising security staff during events Help coordinate entry procedures, ID checks, bag checks, and crowd management Monitor guest behavior and address security concerns professionally Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and emergencies Assist with artist, VIP, and backstage security operations Conduct pre-event and post-event venue walkthroughs Ensure security team members are following venue policies and procedures Complete incident reports and communicate event summaries to management Work closely with venue management, production staff, bartenders, and local law enforcement when necessary Assist with hiring, training, and mentoring new security personnel Help maintain a positive guest experience while enforcing venue rules Qualifications Previous security, law enforcement, military, corrections, or venue security experience preferred Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred Ability to remain professional and composed in high-pressure situations Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to work evenings, weekends, and late-night events Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Must be at least 21 years old Preferred Experience Concert venue security Nightclub or bar security Crowd management Emergency response procedures Team leadership and staff scheduling What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who leads by example, takes ownership of situations, supports their team, and understands the balance between maintaining safety and providing excellent guest service.
