Job Description

Diamond Touch Security (DTS) is seeking a
SECURITY OFFICER
with strong customer service skills and experience in loss prevention for a vibrant and trendy retail location in New Jersey. What you will need to have: Valid identification and an unexpired SORA license 2-3 years of relevant work experience in safety & security, loss prevention/asset protection (preferably in a retail environment) Strong de-escalation capabilities and a keen eye to identify suspicious behavior/activity Strong leadership capabilities and values that align with DTS values Professional and courteous demeanor and remain attentive and proactive while on duty Reliability and dependability even if utilizing public transportation Excellent surveillance and observation skills Excellent customer service skills Basic loss prevention and recovery skills Positive attitude during your shift Integrity and professionalism High School Diploma or equivalent What you'll be doing day to day: Greet customers as they enter the store Monitor and control access at the building entrance Protect the client's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences and report to the management team Observe for signs of crime or disorder and intervene with disturbances Intervene with disorderly behavior or unruly customers by de-escalating the situation and resolving with the lowest level of force possible Assist with store closing procedures as required.•Please note this is a full-time position and requires officers to stand during their shift(s).•Additionally, you must satisfactorily pass all pre-employment screenings.
