Security Officer - Event - Unarmed

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring premises, preventing loss, and ensuring compliance with security policies. Responsibilities Monitor surveillance equipment and conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action. Manage conflicts effectively by employing de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution strategies. Enforce security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance among all individuals on-site. Provide assistance during emergencies by administering CPR and first aid as needed. Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports for review by management. Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to address security concerns or incidents. Conduct loss prevention measures to minimize theft or damage to property. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in security or law enforcement is preferred. Proven experience in surveillance operations, conflict management, or related fields is advantageous. Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security technology is essential. Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable. Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with others. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Must be physically fit to perform duties that may include standing for extended periods or responding quickly in emergencies.
