Las Cruces, NM Job Details Part-time $17 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Guard Card Security Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Armed Security Officer to safeguard our premises, personnel, and assets. This dynamic role involves maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance, rapid response to incidents, and effective conflict management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to safety and security in a fast-paced environment, ensuring peace of mind for all stakeholders. The shift for this location is Friday Saturday and Sunday 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. for a total of 36 hours Responsibilities Monitor and patrol designated areas using CCTV systems and physical presence to deter unauthorized access and suspicious activity Conduct thorough security checks of personnel, visitors, and packages to prevent theft, vandalism, or other security breaches Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies or incidents, including medical emergencies requiring first aid or CPR if trained Enforce access control policies by verifying identification and authorizations for entry and exit Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or security incidents Manage conflict situations with professionalism, employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate tensions Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incident reports, and security breaches for record-keeping and analysis Skills Level 3 New Mexico guard card Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques, CCTV operation, and loss prevention strategies certifications in law enforcement or military experience are highly advantageous Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure Familiarity with security protocols, emergency response procedures, and law enforcement collaboration Ability to quickly assess situations and make sound decisions in high-stress environments Physical fitness to perform patrols, stand for extended periods, and respond rapidly when needed Experience with security systems such as CCTV monitoring and access control software Join us as an Armed Security Officer where your vigilance makes a difference!
