Security Officer

The Resort Security Officer reports to the Resort Security Supervisor and is responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of employees, guests, and company assets.

Job Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

At least 21 years of age; High school diploma or equivalent; Prior Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience preferred; Nice, friendly, and willing to work attitude; Possess excellent critical thinking, organization, communication, and conflict resolution skills; Ability to prioritize tasks and assignments; Ability to communicate clearly and concisely; Ability to obtain proper work cards and other certifications as needed; Ability to work flexible hours and varying shifts as business needs dictate; Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time; Ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs. The Resort Security Officer is required to: Access control system; Advanced drop procedures

• Resort; Alarm.com operations, utilizing alarm system; Training, basic computer operations
• Word, Excel, Etc.

; Basic gas station operations, basic hotel operations, basic patrol procedures, basic resort operations; Basic interviews, basic investigation, evidence handling, escorts, on shift procedures, verbal judo; Bolo's, burglary, counterfeit currency, defrauding innkeeper, fraud/embezzlement, larceny; Conducting identification checks, detention of person, handcuffing, use of force, conflict resolution; Customer service, handling customer complaint, handling employee complaint, lost & found; Employee injuries & slip and falls, patron injuries & slip and falls, First-Aid

• CPR, AED

  ; How to evacuate a location, use of fire extinguisher, use of handheld radios, safety & inspections; Itrak; Minor on property, property damage, reasonable suspicion testing, trespass procedures; New Incident Notification Management, Solarwinds
• responding to tickets; Red tag abandoned/ suspicious vehicles, towing of vehicles, vehicle accidents/ inspections; Request for assistance
• Outside agency; Responding to active shooter, bomb threats, deceased person, incidents, fire alarm, panic button; Security officer authority, security patrols, voluntary statements, written reports; Title 31
• Basic understanding; Perform other duties as assigned.
