Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Event Unarmed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of attendees, staff, and property during various events. This role involves maintaining a visible presence, monitoring event activities, and responding promptly to any incidents or emergencies. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, excellent conflict management abilities, and a commitment to creating a safe environment for all participants. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of dynamic events while applying your security expertise. Duties Conduct thorough surveillance of event venues using CCTV systems and physical patrols to identify potential security risks. Manage access control by performing background checks on attendees, verifying identification, and monitoring entry points. Respond swiftly and professionally to conflicts or disturbances, de-escalating situations with effective conflict management techniques. Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when setting up or dismantling event equipment or barriers. Operate security tools including Taser devices, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and CPR equipment to assist in emergencies. Enforce loss prevention measures by monitoring for theft or suspicious activity and reporting incidents accurately. Maintain detailed incident reports, CCTV logs, and other security documentation to ensure compliance and accountability. Experience Prior experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of surveillance techniques, CCTV operation, and security protocols. Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use are preferred. Familiarity with performing background checks and managing crowd control during large events. Ability to handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting safely while maintaining vigilance throughout long shifts.
