  • What you will do:
  • Under immediate and direct supervision of the Lead Security Officer.
  • performs all security and safety rounds as assigned.
  • Insures that offices and suites are secured.
  • Responds to calls for service in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Reports all suspicious activity to the Lead Security Officer or the designee on duty.
  • Identifies hazards and threats to the safety and security of the campus and its occupants and then initiates the appropriate corrective measures or immediately alerts his supervisor regarding the deficiency.
Investigations/Property:
  • Completes written reports of all reported incidents as assigned.
  • Prepares property reports for patient valuables and secures said valuables in the department safe.
  • Uses the departments digital camera to photograph areas where security incidents have been reported.
  • What you will need:
  • + •NYS Security License•+ •Active police certification; active police officers will need NYS security license upon 90 days of hire•+ •Current Training Certificate.
  • + •Valid NYS Driver's License•+ •High School Diploma/GED•+ •Basic computer skills, good oral, interpersonal skills and written communications which will allow you to document investigative activities.
  • + •one year security or law enforcement experience preferred•
Pay Range:
$20.20
  • $28.00 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
