Security Officer - Per Diem

Security:

Carry out safety and security procedures to maintain safe work environment for all staff. Conduct foot patrols of all buildings/parking lots throughout the shift and document these activities. Respond to all emergency situations on the hospital campus. Maintain a calm, professional, problem-solving demeanor at all times and deploy de-escalation techniques as needed. Maintain NYS Security Guard certification and complete de-escalation training. Utilize incident tracking systems to report any incidents. Request work orders through your supervisor. Enforce parking compliance based on current hospital policy and procedure. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Security and Safety as the program develops.

Safety:

Participate and play an active role in all drills related to Hazmat, codes, fire, active shooter, lock down, etc. Complete Incident Command System Training as assigned through Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800 courses.
