AM How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts'): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:

In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor screening protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help control authorized access, verify credentials, and report security-related concerns in a calm, professional manner. Respond to incidents, assistance requests, and critical situations with a problem-solving approach, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, remaining aware of unusual activity, unsecured entry points, and other security-related issues. Support a healthcare environment by assisting with traffic flow at key access points, providing directions, and helping staff and visitors follow site policies related to access and movement throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
