Job Description

Job Summary :
We are seeking a professional, DCJS-certified Security Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality security training to individuals seeking certification and continuing education. This role requires strong teaching skills, a thorough understanding of security protocols, and the ability to effectively engage and educate participants in accordance with state and company standards. A background in security, law enforcement, or adult education is highly preferred.
Responsibilities :
Develop and deliver training programs compliant with DCJS (Department of Criminal Justice Services) requirements. Conduct classroom and hands-on instruction for security officers on topics such as patrol techniques, conflict resolution, use of force, and emergency response. Ensure training materials and curriculum are up-to-date and align with state regulations and company standards. Assess trainees through evaluations, exams, and practical demonstrations to confirm understanding and competency. Maintain accurate training records and submit reports in a timely manner. Provide constructive feedback to trainees to encourage improvement and professional development. Serve as a subject matter expert on security practices, protocols, and procedures. Support the professional growth of security personnel by promoting ongoing education and skill-building. Collaborate with management to identify training needs and implement effective learning solutions.
Skills and Qualifications :
DCJS Certified Security Instructor (current certification required). Previous experience as a security professional, law enforcement officer, or instructor in a related field. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to teach diverse groups effectively. Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities. Proficiency in security protocols, defensive tactics, and emergency response procedures. Ability to inspire and motivate individuals to perform at their best. Proficient in using training technology and equipment (e.g., projectors, training simulators, and virtual learning tools). Physical capability to demonstrate and perform security-related techniques and maneuvers. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; extensive relevant experience will be considered.
