In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, and responding swiftly to any security incidents. Your dedication to maintaining a secure environment will help foster a safe, welcoming space for employees, visitors, and contractors alike. Responsibilities Control access to the facility by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems and perform physical patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed Monitor security systems and perform routine inspections to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized entry Manage conflict situations with professionalism and conflict management skills to de-escalate incidents effectively Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security reports for record-keeping and future reference Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behavior and implementing preventative measures Qualifications Proven experience in security or law enforcement roles is highly desirable Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified Knowledge of surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and loss prevention techniques Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure Background in military or security services is advantageous but not mandatory Excellent observational skills with attention to detail during patrols and inspections Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods during shifts Join us as a Security Guard and be part of a dedicated team committed to safeguarding our community.
