Security Officer

Responsibilities Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure perimeter integrity. Control access points by verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security risks or safety hazards. Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed. Manage conflict situations with professionalism, de-escalating tensions and ensuring safety for all parties involved. Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and inspections for reporting purposes. Implement loss prevention strategies by observing behaviors that could lead to theft or damage. Requirements Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Certification in first aid and CPR to provide immediate assistance during emergencies. Knowledge of CCTV systems, surveillance techniques, and loss prevention methods. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Familiarity with security protocols, access control procedures, and emergency response plans. Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and the public.
