Full-Time / 24/7 Operation (Weekend Availability Required) Position Overview Aegis Protective Services is seeking a professional and reliable Command Center/Shift Lead to support operations at Queen City Square (QCS)—a high-profile, multi-building site serving financial institutions, law firms, and corporate tenants. This role involves a combination of customer service, security monitoring, and physical patrol duties in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. Officers rotate between multiple posts and play a critical role in maintaining safety, managing access, and supporting client operations. Key Responsibilities Provide front desk/lobby security for tenants and visitors Manage visitor check-in and badge issuance Monitor and log delivery personnel, contractors, and dock traffic Conduct foot patrols across the site (including garage and building interiors) Provide escort services for contractors and visitors as needed Respond to medical emergencies, fire alarms, and security incidents Support client service requests and contractor oversight Work Environment QCS includes: Great American Tower (42+ floors) 303 Building (17+ floors) 11-story parking garage (approx. 1 million sq. ft.) Officers rotate across posts including: Lobby desks Rover patrols Dock operations Physical Requirements Ability to walk 6-10 miles per shift Ability to stand up to 6 hours at a time Comfortable navigating stairs and large facilities Ability to work around heights and high-rise environments Pushing/pulling/carrying and lifting may include up to 50 lbs. Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with employees and/or other customers. Qualifications Strong customer service skills (required) High school diploma or GED (required) Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Security supervisory or command center experience (required) Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Outlook, and security systems) Ability to multi-task and remain professional under pressure High level of reliability and punctuality Scheduling & Availability Must be available for weekends and holidays May be required to stay beyond scheduled shift (up to 4 additional hours) May include weekend or holiday shifts Appearance & Professional Standards Must maintain a professional appearance Natural hair colors only No extreme hairstyles (e.g., mohawks) No visible tattoos on face, neck, or hands Black uniform footwear required Neatly groomed facial hair permitted
Basic Job Duties Observe and Report:
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises, conducting regular inspections to identify and deter potential security risks, illegal activity, or breaches. Operate and monitor surveillance equipment to ensure the security of the premises. Maintain clear and effective communication with site and Company staff regarding security matters. When required, complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents and take appropriate action. Provide excellent service by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries and concerns. Manage conflicts and disturbances in a calm and professional manner. Work together with law enforcement agencies as needed. Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to security functions and processes.
