School Resource Officer

As a School Resource Officer, you will promote safety protocols, foster positive relationships, and respond swiftly to incidents, ensuring an optimal learning environment. Your leadership and proactive approach will help cultivate a secure atmosphere that encourages growth, learning, and trust. Responsibilities Provide a visible law enforcement presence within the school campus to deter misconduct and ensure safety. Ensure safety and wellbeing of students and adults on campus. Develop strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members to promote trust and open communication. Monitor traffic conditions and enforce parking regulations to promote safe and efficient flow. Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents, including conflicts, injuries, or security breaches. Conduct surveillance activities to monitor campus areas for suspicious activity or safety hazards. Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of school buildings and grounds to maintain safety and security. Assist in enforcing school policies and local laws while respecting students' rights and fostering a positive environment. Provide security at special events. Skills Proficiency in report writing with clear documentation of incidents and investigations. Build and maintain positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff through regular engagement. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage conflicts calmly and effectively. Serve as a visible resource by offering assistance and information to the school community. Successful Candidate will complete The Village of Mantua's Police Department Field Training Program At least 2 years experience as a patrol officer
