Job Description

Security Officer Trinity Health System Steubenville, OH Service PRN, ANY, Any Req # 10337 Job Summary / Purpose The Security Officer contributes to the CHI mission and vision by assuring a safe and secure environment of care at hospital campuses and associated facilities and operations Essential Key Job Responsibilities Conducts Initial investigations and appropriate followup for security incidents and writes a security report documenting all findings Conducts proactive foot and vehicle patrols of the entire campus to include all floors and buildings. Responds to all radio calls for a variety of services to include but not limited to: escorts, property pick-up, disturbances, standby's and emergency calls. Ability to deescalate and maintain control in security situations Stays current on all required training to include De-escalation Training and required computer competencies. Receives mandatory health screenings and vaccines. Consistently monitors CCTV activities in the security control room when required.. Is able to run access control system to include giving clearances and locking of doors. Maintains a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions with team members visitors and patients. Follows department dress code. Offers assistance and provide direction to visitors, patients, and staff as needed. Communicate with incoming shift regarding unsolved situations or assignments.

Dissimulate information accurately and distribute to appropriate recipients. Uses tact, courtesy, sound judgment and a professional attitude when relating to patients, families, physicians, team members and other employees. Minimum Qualifications Required Education (for CHI Leadership Job Levels from Supervisor through President) Does Not Apply Required Education for Staff Job Levels High School or Equivalent required, OPOTA/Private Security Academy preferred
