We are currently hiring for, part-time, and float positions with varying schedules. We have an immediate need for a temporary position (3-4 months) at 27-30 hours per week. You must be over 18, have a high school diploma or GED, the ability to obtain an Oregon DPSST Unarmed Professional Security License, and the ability to pass a drug screen (Marijuana Included).

Job Description:

Security Officer - Western University Security Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors on campus. This position involves patrolling university grounds, monitoring cameras, controlling access to facilities, responding to emergencies, and enforcing university policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol campus buildings, grounds, and parking areas to deter crime and ensure safety.
• Monitor cameras and access points.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, and incidents; provide assistance as needed.
• Document and report security incidents, hazards, and policy violations.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement, medical staff, and university personnel when required.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
