Portland, Oregon Set schedule: Sunday thru Thursday, 11 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Graveyard, 40 Hours (Temporary
  • 3 month contract) Competitive hourly wage of $29.80 / hour (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!) You are comfortable riding a bike the majority of your shift You are a fast thinker and quickly engage in problem-solving You understand the importance of maintaining a daily log and filing incident reports. You will abide by Oregon State law and Department of Public Safety Standards and Training ("DPSST") certification standards Highly competent with extensive experience in visitor and crowd management, street level interaction and problem solving, and serving the public in downtown urban environment. Highly skilled in preventing and defusing potentially volatile situations, know how to handle potentially dangerous situations, and make sound use of force decisions. Able to engage safely and effectively with persons participating in criminal behavior. Able to conduct themselves as goodwill ambassadors representing the City of Portland, the SmartPark Garage system, Portland Downtown Heliport, and Streetcar Facilities providing information and assistance to downtown visitors. Skilled at writing incident reports suitable for inclusion in police reports and presentation in court proceedings. Demonstrated experience in providing testimony in criminal court, and other legal proceedings. Able to work safely and competently side by side with law enforcement officers during routine patrol, criminal investigations, and emergencies. Qualifications of Tactical Security Supervisor You're able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process You have a high school education, or equivalent (GED). You have excellent communication skills including active listening and empathy Military, or Law Enforcement experience preferred You must have an unarmed security license. Security Supervisors shall have United States of America citizenship or verified legal alien status. At least twenty-one (21) years of age for unarmed guards. Security Supervisors shall have excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to positively communicate with all members of the public. Security Supervisors shall have a demonstrated ability to work safely and constructively with persons who are homeless, experiencing mental health and/or behavioral health crises, affected by drugs and/or alcohol, and/or who may be unpredictable, dangerous, and/or service resistant. Security Supervisors shall have basic First Aid, AED, and CPR Training and certification. Security Supervisors shall have the ability to perform normal or emergency duties requiring moderate to arduous physical exertion.
