Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Public Safety Officer to ensure the safety and security of our community and premises. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance, conflict management, and emergency response. Your presence will help foster a safe atmosphere for staff, visitors, and residents alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by upholding safety standards and responding swiftly to incidents. Responsibilities Monitor the premises using CCTV systems and other surveillance tools to detect suspicious activity or security breaches Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety protocols are followed and identify potential hazards Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical incidents, conflicts, or security threats, utilizing first aid and CPR skills as needed Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and managing entry points for visitors, staff, and contractors Manage conflicts effectively through conflict management techniques, de-escalating situations to maintain peace Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during incidents requiring external assistance Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and surveillance records for accountability and review Requirements Proven experience in law enforcement, security, military service, or related fields is highly desirable Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in conflict management or CCTV operation are a plus Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention strategies Strong understanding of security protocols and emergency response procedures Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain alert during long shifts Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond quickly when necessary Join us as a Public Safety Officer to play a crucial role in safeguarding our community.
