PURPOSE OF JOB
It is the responsibility of the Security Department Associates to maintain a safe, secure environment for Patients, Visitors, Associates, Volunteers and Medical Staff; to enhance communication and provide immediate response to facility needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Immediate response to calls, especially Assists and Crisis Intervention situations. Working knowledge of Administrative/Security Dept. Policies & Procedures and ability to problem solve using P&P's for appropriate outcome. Investigation of security related incidents with detailed Incident Report documentation. This requires the ability to write an Incident Report that contains correct spelling, grammar and sentence structure. This also requires verbal skills to communicate effectively. Use discretion and good judgment under pressure and in emergencies. Assist in coordinating First Response Team during emergencies, fire, evacuation, decontamination. Takes active role in drills.
Job Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent Criminal Justice background, law enforcement related fields preferred.
Experience:
Sufficient previous experience in security and safety operations Experience in healthcare preferred
Additional Skills:
