Unarmed Security Screening Officer Position Summary:

Am-Gard, Inc. is seeking professional and customer-service-oriented Unarmed Security Officers to provide security services at Erie City Hall. Officers will assist in maintaining a safe and orderly environment through access control, visitor assistance, monitoring activities, and reporting. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to interact effectively with the public in a government setting.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintain a professional security presence throughout assigned areas Assist with visitor screening and access control procedures Operate security screening equipment as assigned Monitor cameras and access control systems Observe and report suspicious activity or security concerns Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and Incident Reports (IRs) Provide directions and assistance to visitors Support emergency response and evacuation procedures Maintain communication with supervisors and City personnel Remain alert and attentive throughout assigned shifts

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age High School Diploma or GED Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations Reliable attendance and punctuality required

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior security or customer service experience Experience in public-facing environments Familiarity with access control or visitor screening procedures

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds Ability to respond appropriately during emergency situations
