Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards Operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee critical areas and detect potential threats Manage access control by verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR if certified Enforce security policies and procedures while managing conflicts with professionalism and calmness Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during incidents or investigations Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incident reports, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping Requirements Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable Certification in first aid, CPR, or conflict management is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified Strong surveillance skills with familiarity using CCTV systems and other security technology Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security best practices Ability to remain calm under pressure while effectively managing conflicts or emergencies Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and the public Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond swiftly when needed Must be 18 years of age or older Must have a high school diploma or GED and be authorized to work in the United States Must be able to drive with valid driver's license and have your own vehicle Be willing to participate in Olympia Security Group's pre-employment process, which may include drug testing and full background investigation, including motor vehicle driving record and child abuse clearances Neat and professional appearance and demeanor Job sites may vary and travel to multiple locations may be required Starting pay rate ranges from $17.00 to $18.00 for unarmed security based on several factors. Exponential increased growth in payrate is readily available and achievable. A rank system is used in the company, and as one moves up in rank, the pay rate increases. All 235 Certified Officers who are working unarmed security details will earn a higher payrate while working unarmed security, compared to the non235 Officers.
