Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to join our dynamic security team. In this role, you will be the first line of defense, ensuring the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. Your proactive approach and keen observation skills will help prevent incidents, manage conflicts effectively, and maintain a secure environment. Duties Monitor and patrol designated areas using surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to detect suspicious activity or breaches of security. Conduct regular inspections of the premises, including entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, to ensure safety protocols are followed. Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, providing first aid or CPR if necessary, and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when required. Manage access control by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to prevent unauthorized entry. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations to ensure accurate record-keeping for future reference. Enforce loss prevention policies by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting any suspicious behavior immediately. Utilize conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations calmly and professionally. Qualifications Proven experience in security roles or related fields such as law enforcement, military service, or private security. Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV), conflict management techniques, and loss prevention strategies. Certifications in first aid, CPR, and basic life support are highly desirable. Ability to remain alert for extended periods while maintaining a professional demeanor. Strong communication skills with the ability to handle stressful situations effectively. Familiarity with security procedures, incident reporting protocols, and emergency response procedures. Physical fitness to perform patrols and inspections as required.
