This position offers maximum flexibility , allowing you to pick up shifts based on your availability while working in a professional, well-supported environment. Ideal for individuals with ACT 235 certification who are looking to supplement income, transition between roles, or maintain a flexible schedule without being locked into a fixed post. Why This Role Stands Out Flexible, per diem scheduling - work when you want Consistent opportunities to pick up additional shifts Variety of sites and assignments Professional, structured work environment Supportive leadership and clear communication Typical Responsibilities Maintain a visible, professional armed security presence Conduct foot and/or mobile patrols Monitor access points, alarms, and overall site conditions Respond to incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports (Belfry Software) Enforce post orders and client policies Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and fellow officers Qualifications Current ACT 235 certification (required) Minimum 18 years of age High school diploma or GED Prior armed security, military, or law enforcement experience strongly preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Professional appearance and demeanor Reliable and punctual when accepting shifts Ability to stand or walk for extended periods Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must pass background check Required in-person orientation prior to assignment Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly rates (based on site and assignment) +$0.25/hour for military veterans and active-duty service members Overtime pay for hours worked over 40 per week (when applicable) Opportunity to increase earnings by picking up additional shifts Paid Time Off eligibility (based on hours worked) Pathway to full-time opportunities for high-performing officers About KRE Security, LLC KRE Security provides professional contract security services throughout Pennsylvania.
