reviews $15 an hour - Full-time Position Overview The Unarmed Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and orderly parking garage environment for a residential apartment community. This role focuses on protecting tenants, visitors, and vehicles while ensuring that only authorized individuals gain access to the garage. Officers serve as a visible deterrent, provide customer service to residents, and support controlled entry into the facility. Key Responsibilities Provide a high-visibility security presence throughout the parking garage to deter unauthorized access, theft, and suspicious activity. Monitor entry and exit points to ensure only authorized tenants and approved visitors access the garage. Assist tenants and authorized visitors with garage entry, including verifying access credentials when needed. Conduct roving patrols of all garage levels, stairwells, elevators, and surrounding areas to identify safety hazards or security concerns. Observe and report any vehicle break-ins, vandalism, loitering, or unsafe behavior. Respond to tenant inquiries and provide professional customer service while maintaining security protocols. Document all incidents, observations, and interactions in daily activity reports. Immediately report emergencies, safety hazards, or suspicious activity to management and/or law enforcement as required. Work collaboratively with property management and onsite staff to support a safe residential environment. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Prior security, customer service, or residential property experience preferred. Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods. Strong communication skills and a professional, calm demeanor. Ability to handle access control responsibilities with accuracy and integrity. Must pass background check and any required screenings.
