Develops or provides advanced level personnel vetting advice and assistance into the development of new and innovive methodologies to modernize and make the suitability, fitness, and credentialing adjudicion process more efficient and effective for Federal agencies and internal SuitEA operions. Prepares merials and responses to requests and inquiries on mters reled to SuitEA, including congressional testimony and requests for informion, or replying to inquiries and correspondence referred from other Federal organizions. Responds to inquiries and requests for informion, and participes in various internal and external meetings, conferences, boards, and councils. Assigns work to subordines based upon priorities, considerion of difficulty, requirements of assignments, and capabilities of employees. Provides advice, counsel, or instruction to individual employees on both technical and administrive mters. This position is not eligible for inclusion in a bargaining unit Qualificions For the GS14: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Government (or equivalent) performing ALL of the following: 1) Providing oversight and guidance on agency favorable suitability and fitness determinions to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulions, and personnel security policies; and 2) Recommending vetting policy and procedures and transling legal and policy requirements into operional guidance; and 3) Reviewing and guiding the processing of cases, including those involving complex, potentially controversial, or sensitive issues, or those th warrant a government-wide debarment; and 4) Analyzing adjudicion program operions, identifying process improvements, or preparing reports, briefings, or responses reled to personnel vetting activities. Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year the GS-13 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS 14 level. You must meet all qualificion and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing de of this announcement.
