Description PURPOSE:

To ensure the safety and security of the premises, personnel, and assets of the organization. You will be responsible for patrolling designated areas, monitoring surveillance equipment, and responding to security breaches, emergencies, or alarms, this role requires a vigilant and proactive individual with strong communication and problem-solving skills. This is an overnight shift.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - JOB DUTIES

The following duties are considered essential to the job. Qualified applicants must have the ability to perform the following duties. Conduct regular patrols and monitor all City Mission Properties.

Monitoring for:

unauthorized access, suspicious activities, or safety hazards. Verify identity of individuals entering the premises and ensure only authorized personnel gain access. Operate and monitor surveillance equipment, camera, alarms and respond to security threats. Maintain detailed and accurate incident reports along with documentation of all security incidents, activities and observation that happened on your shift. Ensure security equipment is in good working order and report any malfunctions promptly. Responsible for keeping the security area neat and clean. Assist clients and the public coming to the office by directing them to the appropriate staff. Ability to maintain effective communication and composure in stressful situations Responsible for conducting foot and vehicle patrols which may include various temperatures and weather. Protect agency property, assets and the welfare and safety of Residents, Clients and Visitors

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must have a valid PA driver License. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong observation and problem-solving skills. Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended period. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally. Basic knowledge of fires safety, first aid, and emergency response. Strong ethical and moral character with a commitment to confidentiality and integrity. Essential Job-Related Experience One year's employment - preferably in security, law enforcement or related field

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods of time, and perform physical activities such as walking, running, and climbing stairs.

Working Conditions:

Security Guard may work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings and may be exposed to inclement weather conditions. They may also be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
