Security Specialist

Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and observant Temporary Security Guard to monitor and protect a vacant building/property for the next several months during construction. This role is responsible for maintaining a secure environment by conducting routine patrols, monitoring for unauthorized activity, and promptly reporting concerns. This position is ideal for someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently. Their is the potential to move into a full time role with us once the construction is completed in one of our other departments with multiple schedule options. Responsibilities Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols of the property Monitor for trespassing, vandalism, theft, or suspicious activity Ensure all doors, gates, and access points remain secure Document incidents, observations, and shift activity in daily logs Contact emergency services or management when necessary Maintain a visible security presence at the property Perform basic property checks for safety concerns such as leaks, hazards, or maintenance issues Follow all company safety and security procedures Qualifications Previous security, military, law enforcement, or related experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong communication and observation skills Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required Ability to remain alert during overnight or extended shifts Must pass background screening. Physical Requirements Ability to walk the property regularly throughout shifts Ability to stand, sit, and patrol for extended periods Ability to work in varying weather conditions if exterior patrols are required Schedule 1: Sunday-Wed 7:30pm-6am Schedule 2 Thursday-Sat 6:30pm-7am
