Pleasant Safety & Security Services - 4.0 Charleston, SC Job Details Part-time $18 - $22 an hour 21 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Performing background checks Time & attendance systems Physical security incident reporting Full Job Description About the Role Safety and Security Services is a Bluffton-based security company currently expanding operations into the Charleston and Mt. Pleasant area. We are looking for reliable, professional individuals to join our team as Commercial Security Officers, providing coverage for commercial properties, retail locations, events, and other client sites throughout the Charleston area. Work is assigned on an as-needed basis through our national staffing partner. Shifts vary and may include short-notice assignments, so flexibility and reliability are essential. Officers who are consistently available and dependable will see the most hours. Responsibilities Provide a visible, professional security presence at assigned commercial locations Monitor premises and report any incidents, suspicious activity, or safety concerns Maintain professionalism and represent the company well at all times Clock in and out accurately through our mobile tracking system Remain on site for the full duration of each assigned shift regardless of on-site activity Requirements Must be 18 or older with a valid government-issued ID and Social Security card Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening Reliable transportation in the Charleston/Mt. Pleasant area Flexibility for varying schedules including short-notice shift requests Professional demeanor and strong communication skills What to Expect All work is performed locally in the Charleston/Mt. Pleasant area SLED certification and all onboarding is completed through the company One required visit to our Bluffton office for onboarding, drug screening, and certification — after that everything is local to you Uniforms provided Prior security or law enforcement experience is a plus. All candidates go through the same onboarding and certification process regardless of background.
