AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, screening requirements, and security-related policies at a government location. Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate logs of arrivals, departures, and restricted area access. Respond to incidents, policy violations, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, checking doors, gates, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized activity. Observe and report unusual activity, equipment concerns, and security-related issues, and complete detailed documentation to support daily operations and/or incident follow-up.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located. Have at least 6 months of security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred. Access control and badge experience preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
