Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Unarmed Security Officer to join our security team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment across various premises by monitoring activities, enforcing policies, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and a commitment to safety. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the protection of personnel, property, and assets through proactive security measures. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect suspicious activity or security breaches. Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to oversee premises and identify potential threats. Enforce access control procedures by verifying credentials and managing visitor logs. Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations, using appropriate protocols such as first aid or CPR when necessary. Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with law enforcement or emergency services when required. Observe and manage conflicts or disturbances with professionalism, employing conflict management techniques. Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious behaviors and preventing theft or vandalism. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements at all times. Experience Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and experience in loss prevention strategies. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; training will be provided if necessary. Familiarity with conflict management techniques and emergency response procedures. Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert during long shifts. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively while maintaining professionalism. Excellent communication skills for interacting with the public, team members, and emergency personnel.
