Security Officer

Duties Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and conduct regular surveillance to identify suspicious activity or security breaches. Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to prevent unauthorized entry. Respond swiftly to emergencies by administering first aid or CPR when necessary and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services. Enforce security policies, manage conflicts professionally, and de-escalate tense situations to maintain a peaceful environment. Conduct routine patrols of the premises, including restricted areas, to deter theft, vandalism, or other unlawful activities. Document incidents accurately through detailed reports and logs for future reference and investigations. Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying vulnerabilities and implementing proactive measures. Experience Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV technology is essential for effective monitoring. Certifications in first aid, CPR, or conflict management are advantageous and demonstrate readiness for emergency response. Familiarity with security procedures, loss prevention strategies, and law enforcement protocols enhances effectiveness in this role. Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining professionalism and composure under pressure.
