Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic security team as an Unarmed Security Officer , where your vigilance and dedication will help ensure the safety and protection of our facilities, staff, and visitors. In this role, you will serve as the first line of defense by maintaining a secure environment through proactive monitoring, effective communication, and professional customer service. Your commitment to safety and professionalism will help foster a welcoming atmosphere while upholding the highest standards of security operations. Duties & Responsibilities Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, to observe activity and identify potential security threats. Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, or safety hazards. Manage access control by verifying credentials and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, or disturbances while coordinating with law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary. Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and detailed logs. Enforce site safety policies and procedures with professionalism and courtesy. Assist with loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious behavior and preventing theft or property damage. Perform routine inspections of doors, gates, windows, and designated areas throughout the shift. Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence. Requirements Valid California Guard Card/Unarmed License required. (Armed officers are welcome to apply.) Valid Driver's License or government-issued ID. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Reliable transportation to and from assigned work locations. Must possess a reliable smartphone for communication and scheduling purposes. Minimum of 1 year of security experience preferred. Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, or related fields is highly desirable. Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques preferred. CPR, First Aid, and conflict management certifications are a plus.

Specific Post Requirements Strong attention to detail and observational skills. Ability to write clear and accurate reports. Must be able to conduct foot patrols every hour, including checking doors, windows, gates, and surrounding areas. Ability to follow instructions and post orders carefully. Must remain calm and professional under pressure. Dependable, punctual, and reliable attendance required. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Strong communication and customer service skills.
