Position Overview:

We are hiring a Healthcare Security Supervisor to oversee frontline guarding operations, ensure contract compliance, and manage on-site schedules for an upcoming state mental health contract in El Paso.

Please note:

This is a contingent hire position. Official offers of employment are tied directly to an upcoming state contract award and implementation.

Salary & Benefits:

Base Rate:

$17.00 per hour

Shift Differential:

+$2.00 per hour (Applies to all scheduled evening and weekend oversight hours, making your hourly rate $19.00/hr ) Full Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance options Paid Time Off (PTO) package

Available Schedules & Shift Flexibility:

Primary coverage blocks run evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Important Schedule Note:

While this contract primarily targets night and weekend operations, this is a 24/7/365 state facility. Occasional daytime emergency response, flexible hours, and holiday coverage are mandatory based on urgent hospital operational needs and state activation directives.

Mandatory Minimum Qualifications:

Licensure:

Active Texas Level 3 Commissioned Guard License.

Experience:

Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable security experience, with a mandatory background in a psychiatric hospital setting or working extensively with patients with a mental illness.

Certifications:

Active Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) Certification.

Communication:

Must be completely fluent in verbal and written English; bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Screening:

Must clear a comprehensive Texas DPS criminal background check and federal sex offender registry screening.

Core Responsibilities:

Supervise, instruct, and continuously evaluate guard presence and uniform compliance on-site. Review all frontline daily Security Activity Reports, shift logs, and critical Incident Reports before agency submission. Coordinate on-site inspections and regular communications with the state's Contract Manager. Manage relief personnel schedules to ensure a 100% gap-free contract coverage model.
