AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential verification, and/or security-related policies at a utility location.
Monitor entry and exit points, screen visitors, vendors, and/or contractors, and document access activity in accordance with post orders.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency responders when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, control points, and perimeter areas to help support authorized access and identify security-related concerns.
Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining awareness of restricted areas, reporting maintenance or security-related issues, and following established escalation procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience is required.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
