Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE
Takes a leadership role in the provision of complex administrative, technical or production services, or crime prevention.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Enforce Medina Healthcare System MHS regulations and policies Patrolling and monitoring activities on the company's premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure. Report any facility issues i.e. leaks, malfunctioning lights, broken equipment, etc. observed during patrols. Ensure all facilities are secure by locking doors as needed. Provide directions, information, and assistance to hospital visitors. May assist individuals with disabled vehicles and lockouts. Control the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles according to protocols Provide escort service for employees, or special vehicles. Evicting trespassers and violators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take over. Prepare offense reports and/or accident reports documenting details for possible court record; complete all other paperwork as required. Assist in evacuations during emergency threats; provide emergency first aid in event of injury. Assist outside law enforcement agencies Report traffic, safety, and/or security infractions to proper authorities. Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Formal security training preferred. One plus years of experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
Must possess and maintain valid Texas Driver's License. Must complete hospital provided online Level II Non Commissioned Security Officer License upon hire.

HAZARDS:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The incumbent must fulfill the performance of standards of this position and comply with the policies, rules and procedures of the System, facility, and department.
