Job Description
About the role: The gate guard will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and smooth operation of a transportation company that utilizes dry vans for shipping goods between Mexico and the USA. The position is based in Laredo, TX, a key transportation cross-border transportation.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to the facility by checking identification and credentials of personnel and visitors
- Operate gate and surveillance systems to ensure secure entry and exit
- Conduct routine patrols of the facility to detect and report any security concerns or breaches
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and access control in alignment with CTPAT guidelines
- Communicate effectively with team members and report any irregularities to management
- Assist with emergency response as needed and follow all safety protocols
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with CTPAT guidelines is required
- Ability to pass a Background and Drug test prior to starting
