Competitive - Based on Experience Job Overview Houston Harris County Patrol is seeking a professional and dependable Armed Security Officer for a steady night shift position in Pasadena. This is a full-time role with only 33.5 hours per week , offering consistent hours while maintaining a manageable schedule. Duties include patrolling the property (on foot and by vehicle), checking and securing doors using a key fob system, and completing detailed Daily Activity Reports (DARs) to maintain site safety and security. Key Responsibilities Perform routine patrols of the property (walking and driving) Check, secure, and document doors and access points using key fob system Monitor for unauthorized activity, hazards, or suspicious behavior Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity Complete accurate and detailed Daily Activity Reports (DARs) Respond to incidents and notify management or emergency services when needed Follow all site-specific post orders and security procedures Requirements Valid Texas Level III Armed Security License Must be 21 years of age or older Valid driver's license with clean driving record Reliable transportation Ability to walk and patrol for extended periods Strong observation and report writing skills Must be dependable, punctual, and professional Ability to work independently during overnight hours Uniform Requirement Must report to duty in navy blue pants Must wear a navy blue security shirt Must display a security badge and name tag at all times while on duty Uniform must be clean, professional, and presentable Preferred Qualifications Prior armed security or law enforcement experience Experience with access control / key fob systems Military background is a plus Work Environment Indoor and outdoor patrol Nighttime conditions Independent work setting with minimal supervision What We Offer Full-time position with only 33.5 hours per week Consistent night shift schedule Stable, long-term opportunity Professional work environment How to Apply Submit your resume along with proof of licensing.
