BENEFITS QUESTIONS Job Summary Under immediate supervision, is responsible for performing a full range of patrol and security work at a City facility or related area. Exercises functional supervision. May exercise direct supervision over assigned staff. Work Location Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center - 900 E. Market Street, San Antonio, TX 78205 Work Hours Hours will vary based on shiftwork, including weekends, holidays, adjusted schedules, and additional hours as needed. Essential Job Functions Supervises, briefs, and dispatches contract security as required. Trains and instructs security staff as needed. Monitors closed circuit T.V. and fire alarm systems. Investigates incidents and activities. Patrols assigned areas to eliminate or report fire hazards, deter thefts, vandals, or violence and communicates through the use of a two-way radio. Monitors and maintains station at entry/exit point to City activities by observing, walking, reaching, twisting, and kneeling. Conducts operating cash count to ensure that all monies are accounted for. Maintains inventory of equipment using office equipment. Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
