Job Description

Overview D & L Entertainment Services is now hiring A rmed Security Officers to work at a distribution center in the Mesquite/Sunnyvale area. Starting pay is $25.00 per hour. The specific shift details for the roles available are: Role #1: Friday 10:00 pm to 6:00 am AND Saturday 6:00 pm to 6:00 am (have to work both days) In this role, the right fit candidate will focus on loss prevention and securing assets in the facility. The candidate must already possess a valid Level III Security License issued by the TX Department of Public Safety (TX DPS). Candidates will need to be able to work alone and demonstrate a detail-oriented, highly-organized mindset with excellent interpersonal skills. It is essential that they maintain a high level of professionalism. D&L Security Officer will need to calmly respond to all emergencies and analyze/evaluate information to quickly determine the appropriate course of action.
Responsibilities:
Asset Protection Enforce venue policy and procedures Safeguard venue assets through foot patrols of building and grounds Report any unsafe working conditions or practices to management Take appropriate first measures to correct an unsafe condition Conduct wanding and pat downs for employees to maintain asset protection May be asked to monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to oversee activity across the premises. Control access points by verifying identities of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Conduct routine patrols of the facility to identify potential security risks or safety hazards. Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations. Enforce facility policies related to loss prevention and conflict management with professionalism and tact. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks in shift reports. Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary to ensure safety. Perform other duties as assigned
Skills:
Strong ability to manage conflicts calmly and effectively while maintaining a professional demeanor. Background in law enforcement, or military service is preferred. Excellent observation skills with a keen eye for detail during patrols and inspections. Familiarity with loss prevention techniques to deter theft or unauthorized access. Effective communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and visitors.
Requirements:
Reliable transportation Valid TX Driver's License and personal auto insurance Ability to meet attendance standards Professional appearance and demeanor Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. Able to pass all criminal history background checks Must be 18 years of age, 21 years or older preferred Problem solving skills in a dynamic, high-pressure environment Requires current State of Texas issued Level III Security License Have worked in an unarmed security role while licensed for at least 1 year, 2-years of experience preferred. Skills in assessing customer/client needs and exceeding quality standards of service Appropriate appearance and dress required at all times, uniforms are provided Excellent communication skills between all departments, customers and the public
