Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience through strong communication and customer service. AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations according to site guidelines. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, common areas, entry points, and perimeter areas. Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity to help support order and help to deter unauthorized behavior and/or policy violations. Communicate with site contacts, local authorities, and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security-related matters as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
