Job Description
Location Overview Join our team in Amangiri. Blending into untouched red-rock country on over 900 acres of the Colorado Plateau, Amangiri and its satellite, Camp Sarika, reflect dual aspects of this ancient desert landscape. A serene sanctuary, Amangiri's 34 modernist suites, Aman Spa and mesa-embracing pool echo the tranquillity of the canyons. Camp Sarika, with its 10 tented pavilions, answers the region's call to adventure. An unrivalled base for exhilarating expeditions and fireside connection, the camp has its own restaurant, lounge and spa suites. Role The Security Guard is responsible for protecting guests, staff, property, and equipment. You will patrol assigned areas, monitor alarms and CCTV systems, manage access points, and respond to incidents to ensure the safety and security of everyone on property. Responsibilities Provide a positive guest experience by projecting a professional image and addressing guest needs. Greet and assist arriving guests and visitors. Conduct regular patrols of the resort to ensure the security of buildings, grounds, and equipment. Observe activities through CCTV cameras and report irregularities such as security breaches or safety hazards. Monitor and control ingress and egress of personnel, ensuring proper security protocols are followed. Complete incident and accident reports accurately and in a timely manner when necessary. Participate in or take the lead in emergency situations and rescue operations as required. Inform and warn violators of security infractions such as trespassing or loitering. Respond appropriately to security code violators and unauthorized persons. Perform regular checks on emergency call boxes, doors, windows, gates, and other security-related equipment to ensure proper functionality. Maintain clear communication with other security personnel, management, and emergency responders. Follow all assigned duties during your shift, including maintaining a detailed record of activities and incidents. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of relevant security experience. Must have a clear criminal record and a clean driving record. First Aid certification required (or must be able to obtain one). AED certification or Utah Guard License is preferred (or ability to obtain one). Must have prior experience working with CCTV systems and security monitoring equipment. Minimum of 2 years of previous guest service experience is required. Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays. Must have strong attention to detail and be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work well with others and maintain professional relationships. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to remain alert for long periods, patrol the resort on foot or in a vehicle, and handle security equipment.
