This position is for those who enjoy the aspects of working in a great indoor and outdoor work environment in a positive team culture. Traverse Outlets is seeking an individual who is detail-oriented, safety minded, takes pride in a strong work ethic, and enjoys working among the general public - our shoppers. Security Officer will patrol the grounds and buildings of the Shopping Center. Performs a variety of tasks while working under general supervision. Reports any suspicious activity and maintains a security and safety presence while completing walking and driving patrols. Duties include assisting other team members with special projects, as needed. A friendly, customer service oriented skill set is expected working among the public and with other staff. Wage $18.50/HR. Paid time off benefits; medical, dental, vision benefits (Option to enroll). 401K Plan and FSA Plan (Option to enroll).
Weekly Schedule:
Monday-Tuesday 3PM-11PM; Wednesday-Thursday OFF; Friday-Saturday-Sunday 11AM - 7:30pm. Must be at least 21 years old with 3 years driving experience and a valid driver license.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Protect the property both on foot and by vehicle, being visible and observant at all times. Maintain the security cellular phone and professionally respond to all calls for service within the Center. Ensure the safety, comfort and satisfaction of the shopping public by always exhibiting a professional and helpful attitude. Ensure critical areas of the property are monitored. Maintain complete knowledge of all security operations, policies and procedures. Document security activity using appropriate corporate and center security forms, always ensuring the work product is concise, accurate, and thorough. Assist the Security Supervisor and Security Director in implementing the center's Security work plan; assigned work activities, projects and programs. Perform all duties according to OSHA established health and safety standards. Comply with all Corporate and Security policies and procedures that pertain to the Center. Establish and maintain working relationships with store managers and employees on an on going basis to enhance the security and safety of all employees and the general public. Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or its equivalent. 0 - 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred. CERTIFICATES and/or
LICENSES
Valid Driver's License CPR and First Aide Certification (will provide if applicant does not have)
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to effectively respond to issues both verbally and in writing. Requires a high level of commitment to customer service.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to identify and analyze problems with limited information, and then recommend a resolution. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. OTHER SKILLS and/or

Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
