Job Description
We are looking for Armed and Unarmed Security Officers. Preferably already certified by DCJS for Private Security. Multiple sites and shift times. Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Must be able to pass a background check and a drug test. Must be prepared to work overnight hours, weekends and holiday's. Must have a clean driving record. 90-day reviews performed with room for advancement. ONLY serious applicants apply. We are seeking armed and unarmed security officers to join our well developed team! We serve multiple clients in and around the Charlottesville area. We are looking to expand our growing team with the right people in the right place. The ideal candidate will demonstrate respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to enforce client expectations by ensuring a safe and problem-free zone. We expect great customer service skills and maintaining a professional image is a must. Responsibilities Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people on the property Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation Provide assistance to people in need Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences Skills Proven experience as security officer or guard preferred Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety Familiarity with report writing Excellent surveillance and observation skills Tech-savvy with experience with mobile devices Certified as a security officer with DCJS (Dept. of Criminal Justice Services) High School diploma or equivalent is required
