Security Supervisor Chesapeake Regional Medical Center - 2.9 Chesapeake, VA Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description The Security Supervisor ensures the safety and security of Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, and directly supervises all Security Officers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities These duties and responsibilities described below represent the general tasks performed on a daily basis; other tasks may be assigned. Review all SIRs (Security Incident Reports), daily stat sheets, and paperwork Establish reports/documentation regarding initial security department training/in-services, including re-training and annual competencies Coordinate the IAHSS training for Security to help improve the effectiveness and professionalism of the officers Keep Director informed of any and all significant events Ensure that all Security Officers conduct regular, routine safety and security patrols throughout all approved hospital facilities and property, observing and reporting any and all safety hazards, fire hazards, security risks, and other unusual conditions in accordance with all appropriate laws and regulations and hospital policies Conduct investigations regarding complainants Maintain confidentiality of departmental information Develop Officer's schedule to insure all shifts are covered properly and falling within budgeting restraints Approve Personal Annual Leave Assist in the maintenance and care of department equipment and supplies Assist with maintaining and updating the Security Department's policies and procedures Assemble information collected through daily stats and SIR reports for statistical analysis Train staff in security department procedures and in the operation of the Safe Place system and Genetec video system Act as the "Handle With Care" Program Coordinator Represent the security department on the Environment of Care Committee, the Code Green Committee, and other committees as assigned by the security director Conduct orientation for new employees on workplace violence and security Manage the staff ID badge system and work with the HR department with all new hires. Manage the lost and found/property locker and perform regular audits of all found property. Ensure that medical staff is assisted when bodies are brought to the morgue. Review and sign off payroll for security staff. Attend required hospital-wide orientations, meetings, and in-services Demonstrate a commitment to flexible work scheduling when necessary
Education and Experience Minimum Required Education:

Associates inCriminal Justice Experience:
5+ years in a Security or Law Enforcement setting Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Applicant must have a current IAHSS Basic Officer Certification, and must complete the Supervisory certification within 90 days of assuming the title 'Security Supervisor'.Similar remote jobs
