We are looking to hire Cleared Security Escorts to join our team in the Northern Virginia area, where we provide escorting services for our customer. This position is responsible for escorting and monitoring visitors to secure sites including access control through confirmation of identification, conducting inspection of visitors and hand-carried items, and always maintaining line-of-sight on visitors. This is a full-time permanent role. This position reports to the Cleared Security Escort Manager.

The Cleared Security Escort will be responsible for the following:

Develop, maintain, and continuously improve knowledge of written post orders, policies, procedures and standards of conductEscort and monitor visitors to and in designated areas within the site, including access control through confirmation of identification, conducting inspection of visitors and hand-carried itemsMaintain visitor access logs in accordance with post orders and/or company guidanceReport and/or respond to incidents, security, and safety concerns in accordance with established post ordersGuide, follow, observe and direct individuals throughout the sitePrevent the disclosure/loss of sensitive or confidential informationAssist in controlling physical and electronic locks, unlocking/ locking doors and areasPrevent theft of physical or intellectual propertyAssist in promoting communication and awareness of data center security policies to client employees, vendors, contractors and othersMaintain standards of competency, conduct, appearance, and integrity, including compliance with PGI policies and the Clients Code of Conduct and Uniform PolicyExecute and deliver various reports assigned by the Cleared Security Escort ManagerComplete and maintain pre-assignment, client, State, and PGI sustainment training as directedAssist in team collateral dutiesPosition has ongoing training requirements, many of them to be completed in an online environment.

Ability to travel to local sites in the Northern Virginia area to perform escorting duties.

Required Qualifications:
A minimum of one (1) year as a security escort, or one year of local, state, or federal law enforcement experienceA minimum of 21 years of ageAbility to complete a security officer training course and conduct regularly scheduled sustainment trainingAbility to operate various security screening related equipment.

Must have reliable transportation during all seasonsFirm grasp on the use and implementation of technology, programs, and applications on data bearing devices.

Strong ability to learn new technology systems and programs. Ability to troubleshoot and work through user level issues with technology platforms and applications.

Ability to demonstrate professional communication via verbal, written, and email correspondenceMust have High School diploma or GEDAbility to complete Security Guard Certification including the application process, fingerprints, and background investigationAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screen and periodic random drug screening

Current State issued Security Guard CertificationA minimum of one (1) year of honorable military service, active or reserve, in any branch of the US Armed ForcesTwo (2) years of security, military, or law enforcement experienceDemonstrated history of safe and successful security operations experience in highly secure facilitiesPrevious experience operating a Walk-Through Metal Detector, hand-held metal detector and hand-held radio

Must be able to bend at the waist, knees,Must have the physical ability to perform a variety of training functionsAbility to walk on uneven surfaces, walking long distances and operate equipment.
